What is cataract surgery?
Cataract is a gradual clouding of the eye lens that causes significant changes in the clarity and acuity of vision. In the initial stage, cataracts usually have no symptoms. Over time, it progresses, and one or more of the following symptoms may appear: blurred vision, double vision, faded colours, and halos.
During cataract surgery, the cloudy lens is replaced with an artificial one. There are several types of artificial lenses. Which one is right for you will be determined and calculated strictly individually during the diagnosis and personal consultation with the surgeon.
