A set of 15 examinations of the visual system performed before the neuro-ophthalmologist consultation: history taking, distance and near visual acuity, autorefractometry, colour vision testing, pupil and light-reaction assessment (RAPD), eye position and motility, cover/uncover test, convergence, accommodation, saccades, biomicroscopy, intraocular pressure, computer perimetry, VEP when indicated, ophthalmoscopy under mydriasis, OCT of the optic nerve heads, retinal nerve fibre layer and ganglion cell complex, OCT angiography, fundus photography and others.

The consultation is provided by a top-category physician, Doctor of Medical Sciences and head of the Ukrainian Neuro-ophthalmology Association with 25 years of experience — for complex, rare and controversial cases. An in-depth analysis of all levels of the visual system, a second opinion on an established diagnosis, and determination of the prognosis and further management.

The screening includes: refractometry without cycloplegia, age-appropriate visual acuity test, acuity with trial correction, stereo vision assessment (Lang standard test). It quickly identifies: age norm, reduced vision, amblyopia (one or both eyes), astigmatism, absent binocular vision. If any issue is found, a full planned diagnostic exam is recommended. Please note: the screening format does not include a full doctor's report — only a school certificate is issued

The goal is to assess the child's visual functions and detect any difference between the eyes (amblyopia development). The exam includes video recording of eye position during fixation. Early screening is especially recommended when siblings already have ophthalmic conditions or wear glasses
