The most significant ophthalmological event of the year — the international conference OphthalmicHUB 2025, organized by the All-Ukrainian Alliance of Ophthalmologists — brought together leading experts, thought leaders, and the future of Ukrainian ophthalmology in one place.
Over the course of three days, across three parallel halls, sessions were held covering the most relevant topics, modern clinical approaches, innovative treatment and surgical methods, and discussions on the challenges facing the ophthalmological community today.
The scientific committee, led by Professor O.P. Vitovska, MD, prepared a rich, well-balanced program that included both fundamental aspects of ophthalmology and practical clinical case studies.
More than 1500 participants attended the conference, including 125 top Ukrainian experts and 14 international specialists from Germany, Brazil, the USA, Poland, Pakistan, and Israel.
Five professional associations shared their achievements and practical experience:
- Union of Ukrainian Ophthalmic Surgeons
- Ukrainian Glaucoma Society
- Ukrainian Society of Vitreoretinal Surgeons
- Ukrainian Neuro-Ophthalmology Association
- Ukrainian Society of Refractive and Cataract Surgeons
Experts from related fields — neurology, neurosurgery, allergology, cardiology — also took the stage, alongside specialists in medical law, marketing, and members of the business community. This multidisciplinary approach helped deepen the understanding of interconnections across medical disciplines and expanded the clinical thinking of participating doctors.
These were three days of intensive knowledge exchange, powerful inspiration, insightful discussions, and true professional development.
#OphthalmicHUB2025 was more than a conference. It was an event that energized participants to move forward, challenge the system, and elevate the quality of ophthalmic care.
We returned with new knowledge, new contacts, and fresh ideas — and with a new level of responsibility.
Because every patient we meet tomorrow expects more than just a clinical decision — they seek compassion, empathy, humanity, and confidence in their doctor.
