Our clinic uses cool laser (cool beam technology), which means that there is no significant heating of the corneal tissue during the procedure, and the calculation of the laser power is constantly monitored. Don’t worry if you think you will blink or move your eyes during the operation – your surgeon will place an eyelid retainer over your eye which will prevent you from blinking during the procedure. Our lasers only work when your eyes are still, so if you look away, the laser will automatically switch off. In fact, most of our patients find it easier than expected to keep their eyes still during surgery.
