Joint clinical conference of the German Eye Clinic and the British Ophthalmological Center
The German Eye Clinic, together with the British Ophthalmological Center, held a clinical conference on “Indications for surgical treatment of strabismus”.
The event was dedicated to current issues of diagnosis, clinical assessment and selection of optimal treatment tactics for patients with strabismus. Conference participants discussed when conservative treatment is insufficient, when surgical intervention should be considered and which factors influence clinical decision-making.
Special attention was paid to an individual approach to the patient, assessment of functional and aesthetic outcomes, age-related treatment features and the importance of a comprehensive examination before surgery planning.
During the conference, practical clinical cases, modern approaches to determining indications for surgery and principles of interdisciplinary cooperation between ophthalmologists, orthoptists and surgeons were discussed.
The joint conference became an important platform for professional exchange of experience between specialists from the two clinics, discussion of complex clinical situations and improvement of approaches to strabismus treatment.
Such educational events help improve the quality of medical care, implement modern clinical solutions and provide patients with more accurate diagnostics and effective treatment.
