The Training and Education Center of the German Eye Clinic is a modern educational space created for the training and professional development of ophthalmologists.
We offer specialists the opportunity not only to deepen theoretical knowledge, but also to acquire confident practical skills under the guidance of experienced mentors. Training is conducted through lectures, practical sessions, workshops and professional exchange of experience.
Modern artificial eye models SimulEye are used to practice practical skills — educational models developed by an American company specifically for ophthalmologist training. They make it possible to bring training as close as possible to real clinical conditions and safely practice the key stages of ophthalmic procedures.
The Training and Education Center program includes:
- lectures on current issues in modern ophthalmology;
- practical courses in laser surgery;
- cataract surgery training sessions;
- training in modern methods of diagnosis and management of patients with dry eye syndrome;
- practical skills training on educational models and modern ophthalmic equipment.
We gladly welcome doctors from Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine who seek to develop, improve their professional skills and implement modern approaches in daily clinical practice.
Our goal is to support the professional development of specialists and help improve the quality of ophthalmic care in Ukraine.
Training areas
Optometry course
The optometry course is aimed at improving skills in vision diagnostics, refractive examination and selection of optimal correction.
Course participants review modern approaches to assessing visual functions, interpreting examination results, selecting spectacle and contact correction, as well as communication features with patients during the initial appointment.
Phacoemulsification of cataract
The course in cataract phacoemulsification is intended for ophthalmologists who want to deepen their knowledge and practice practical skills in modern cataract surgery.
During the training, participants become familiar with the main stages of the operation and the principles of safe surgical technique, and practice manual skills on modern artificial eye models SimulEye.
Panretinal laser photocoagulation
The course in panretinal laser photocoagulation is dedicated to modern approaches to laser treatment of retinal pathology.
Training participants review indications for the procedure, principles of laser treatment planning, technical features of coagulation and clinical aspects of patient management after the procedure.
